It is the story of the formation of the Cairngorm mountains, the processes such as glaciation which later shaped them and the features formed. It is the story behind the landscape we see today, and how it began as a mountain range as high as the Alps. It also gives a lot of useful background information on rock-types and glacial processes and features.
This section will be of most relevance to students studying Intermediate, Higher and AS/A-level Geography, as well as some Geology and Chemistry course.
